Description

Extending upon the skills and knowledge of kids who have mastered the basic fundamentals of surfing. Topics covered in this level include:

  • techniques for paddling out through oncoming waves
  • positioning in the lineup
  • ‘taking the drop’ on unbroken (green water) waves
  • surf etiquette
  • identify suitable surfing conditions
  • basic surfing manoeuvre technique

*Please note group sizes vary depending on the session day and time of year. We operate from a maximum ratio of 5 children per instructor

*To book, choose one day and time, this will be your start time each week.

*Make-up lessons only provided if we are notified at least 24 hours in advance and we have sufficient space.

All of your surfIng instructors have the following qualifIcations:

  • Level 1 ASI Surf Coaching Certificate
  • First Aid
  • Advanced CPR Surf Rescue or Bronze Medallion
  • Working with Children Blue Card
  • Gold Coast City Council Coaching permit

What

Fun and safe surfing program with 3 levels of competency. If your child has previous surfing experience, get in touch with us so we can recommend a suitable level.

Kids 5-14 years old

What to bring

All you will need is swimming bottoms, sunscreen and a towel. We supply safe, soft surfboards, wetshirts and wetsuits (if required). Kids in the intermediate/advanced levels may use their own fibreglass surfboards if they wish. For all other information regarding your session, please refer to our FAQ’s page

How to book

To book in more than one child, add each participant to your shopping cart one at a time. When you click ‘book now’ the booking will be added to the cart and the page will refresh.
